Non-negotiables

• No tracking, no data sales, no algorithmic manipulation, no extraction. Ever. Tune-in, not an algorithm, is the feed-noise lever.
• Structural no-surveillance. Our privacy stance is structural, not promised. Operational metrics are instance/korner-scoped, never user-scoped.
• Peer-support governance. Structural changes route through Kommons; anything else can be planted as a Seed by anyone.
• Federation is optional; consent is not. Every peer relationship is opt-in on both sides.

What we believe

Building software with people is more valuable than building software for people. The people who use a tool are the people best positioned to say how it should feel to use.

That's why Kronk is small. That's why the roadmap is a shared document. That's why the manifest for every korner is checked into the same repo as the code.

What we optimise for

Coherence over reach, conviviality over engagement, longevity over growth. Softer signals than most social software wants to hear.
